Xolo Q2000, Zync Cloud Z401, GPad-G3 (November 13),Weekly smartphone launches

New Delhi: The Indian smartphone market was abuzz with activities last week with lots of companies coming out with their new products in the markets in hope to garner some marketshare. Gionee has officially announced the launch its latest phablet, the GPad G3 priced at Rs. 9,999. The Gionee GPad G3 was listed in October this year on ecommerce website Snapdeal, and is currently available at a discounted price of Rs. 9,425.

In addition, Xolo came out with its latest quad-core phablet in India at Rs 14,999. Xolo's Q2000 smartphone was a welcome addition in the company’s Q smartphone series, which already includes six smartphones.

Here is a look at the top smartphone launches this week:

GPad-G3

Gionee’s latest smartphone GPad-G3 features a 5.5-inch display and is powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor coupled with 512 MB of RAM.

It is a dual-SIM (GSM+GSM) smartphone with dual standby. The device features a 5.5-inch display with 480x854 pixels resolution and is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6589 processor, coupled with PowerVR SGX544 GPU and 1GB of RAM. The GPad G3 sports a 5-megapixel rear autofocus camera with LED flash and also includes a VGA front-facing camera.

The GPad G3 bears 4GB of inbuilt storage, which is expandable up to 32GB via microSD card. It has a 2250 mAh battery that should be able to last a day. The phone will compete with models like the Intex i5 and Micromax Doodle.

finally available to buy at Indian Play Store ,Google Nexus5 and Nexus 7

We previously reported that Nexus 5 is available at Indian Play Store, but now after a month of speculations and anticipation Google started taking orders for Nexus 5 and along with Nexus 7 tablet too. Although the 16GB model of Nexus 7 will be available after 26 November. As reported on website Leaves warehouse by November 26, 2013. But the 32GB versions will be shipped in two business days as said on play Store. The 32 GB model is also available with Wi-Fi and LTE. The Nexus 5 is available in black and white colour.

While Google Nexus 5 comes with latest Android Kit-Kat, but the Nexus 7 comes with Android 4.3 Jelly Bean. Although you can update it to 4.4 after purchase. There are many new features available in Kit-kat like Dialer and Hangouts.

Google totally rethought of Dialer and integrated Yellow pages into new dialer app. Now Dialer app allows you to search for a business or person and dial their number without ever having to figure it out.

Hangout is also one of the key feature of Kit Kat. It is more integrated into the operating system. There is a Hangout icon over there where used to be message icon. Hangout is updated to integrate with SMS. And even you can now do texting, voice and video calling too through only one app- Hangout.

Talking about specifications of Nexus 5, it comes with full HD IPS display with 445 pixel per inch density. LG used Corning Gorilla Glass 3 this time with nexus. It is powered by2.3GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor along with Adreno 330 GPU for better graphics performance. With 2 GB on board it will be truly amazing performer and running smoothest Android yet Kit Kat 4.4. The phone comes in two variants of 16 and 32 GB. There is 8 MP shooter at back with image stabilization. And there is also a 1.3MP shooter for video calling. There is 2300mAh battery installed on it.

While at the other end, Nexus 7 comes with full HD IPS display with 332 ppi. There is 1.2 MP fixed focus camera for video calling at front and a 5 MP auto focus camera for capturing images. This tablet from Google runs on Android Jelly Bean 4.3 along with 2GB RAM and quad- core processor from Snapdrago. There is also an Adreno GPU with it too. Powered with 3950mAH battery it can last up to 9 hours on active uses.

could be launching in markets outside Japan ,Samsung’s Galaxy J

Back in early October, Samsung announced the Galaxy J for Japanese carrier NTT DoCoMo, as something of a cross between the Galaxy S4 and Galaxy Note 3 – namely, the device was a Galaxy S4 but with a Snapdragon 800 processor, 3GB of RAM, and Android 4.3 Jelly Bean out of the box. Now, a variant of the Galaxy J with model number SGH-N075T has appeared in benchmarks – the Galaxy J carries model number SGH-N075, and the T at the end means we could see a launch of the device outside Japan in the future.

Samsung usually adds a T to model numbers of devices that are either headed for T-Mobile in the USA or Telstra in Australia, so the SGH-075T could be headed for either of those markets, or it could be specific to Taiwan as well. However, it’s quite uncommon for Samsung smartphones launched for Japanese carriers to get an international launch, but this could be an exception, though we’ll have to wait for more information to find out where Samsung is planning on launching the considerably upgraded Galaxy S4.

Samsung new smartphone Galaxy Core Plus ,new launches

It needs to be mentioned here that the new smartphone has got several features which are pretty disappointing when compared to its previous version – Galaxy Core.

The Galaxy Core Plus runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean with Samsung’s TouchWiz User Interface on top in comparison to Galaxy Core’s Android 4.1. Like its older sibling, the Galaxy Core Plus provides dual-SIM card support on GSM platform.

The Galaxy Core Plus is equipped with a 5-megapixel autofocus camera with a LED flash on rear and a VGA camera on front. The smartphone also offers 4 GB inbuilt storage space, which is again less compared to 8 GB on Galaxy Core. The memory can be expanded up to 64 GB via microSD card.

For connectivity, the Galaxy Core Plus offers Wi-Fi, Bluetooh 3.0 and GPS connectivity options and it comes along with an 1800 mAh battery.

Zync has launched the Cloud Z401, a new smartphone in the Cloud series. It has a 4-inch (480 x 800 pixels) display, powered by a 1 GHz processor and runs on Android 2.3 (Gingerbread). It comes with a 2-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 0.3-megapixel (VGA) front-facing camera. It comes with 2G (EDGE) support and packs a 1300 mAh battery. It also comes with range of pre-loaded applications including, Skype, Viber, Youtube, Yahoo messenger, Facebook, Whatsapp, Twitter, Adobe Flash and more.
